CEQ Awarded Stage 1 of EIMC Works
CEQ Australia has been successful in the award of Group 1 of the Electrical, Instrumentation, Monitoring and Control (EIMC) works for Icon Water in the ACT. The project is the first in a series of works across Icon Water’s network sites where the overall goal is to increase the safety and reliability of the electrical and control installation on 93 reservoirs, valve farms and pump stations throughout the ACT. The program is due to run for five years and involves approximately half of Icon Waters Network assets.
The scope of work includes:
- Switchboard manufacture, testing and installation
- Civil works for switchboard slabs and underground cable reticulation
- Instrumentation supply and installation
- Replacement of valve actuators
- Upgrade of site cabling and cable reticulation
- Commissioning with Icon Waters control team
All sites are functioning assets and will need to remain operational throughout the installation with small windows of time available for the assets to be offline. At each of the sites, the telemetry system will be changed which will, in turn, affect other network sites.
CEQ Australia is excited about this opportunity to partner with Icon Water and WSP to deliver the first package in the EIMC renewal program. More information on Icon Water can be found at the Icon Website https://www.iconwater.com.au/
