Dalrymple Bay Coal Terminal is located at Hay Point, near Mackay , Queensland. The facility commenced operation in 1983, and has established itself as Queensland’s premier coal export facility. The terminal is an integral part of Australia’s coal supply chain, ensuring reliability and continuity of coal supply from the Bowen Basin coal fields to the world export market. Dalrymple Bay Coal Terminal Management (DBCTM) announced the requirement to replace an existing rail-mounted stacker machine with a new, similar machine as part of an ongoing program of works to sustain the operation of their existing facility. The existing stacker (ST1) was originally installed as part of the initial development of the terminal in the early 1980’s and is now considered to have reached the end of its usable life.

CE Group is excited to announce it has been successful in the award of the new Coal Stacker Replacement Project at the Dalrymple Bay Coal Terminal (DBCT) in Mackay. The projects intent is to decommission and replace the existing Coal Stacker (ST1) with a newly pre-fabricated Stacker (ST1A) on the existing yard rails. CE Group’s scope of works includes all associated electrical activities as well as the coordination & integration of existing services. CE Group will be focusing on safety, quality and the strict adherence to project program targets to deliver the project in line with the facilities high standards.
