LWIA Switchroom Upgrade
Slacks Creek, Queensland

Project Details

The LWIA Project consisted of the construction of a new Motor Control Centre (MCC) for the Sewage Pump Station (SPS). A new switchroom demountable building was also required to accommodate the new VSDs for the new 375kw pumps. The CE Group team also utilised the expertise of trusted partners Engineering Applications and SCADA Engineering to execute the civil and control elements.

The project has enabled our client the flexibility in the operation of the pump station and future changes due to the growing population of the Logan area.

Key challenges were the construction of a new 3200A MCC, liaising with all stakeholders and the successful change-over to the new board and removal of old switchboard. The project was carried out with minimal disruptions to the plant’s operational activities.
